Foxwell NT644 AutoMaster Pro - great professional service, tool arrived as scheduled delivery. Comes with a long lead so you can take the tool to the chassis number when needed. Great tool for its price, get one, you wont regret it and you will be stunned what it has to offer.

Already used on several vehicles 2008, 2011 Mondeos, 2011 Ka. Works well, no issues at present. Even discovered DTCs in my vehicles HVAC and Audio modules I did not know were present.

Test EPB function on 2012 year Porsche –yes

2014 Isuzu mux lst diesel 12V, Australian – No.

Cover abs and airbag on Australian ford and Toyota hybrid Camry - yes

(Tip: the workable year is different from one model to other; it covers up to 2015 year).

Foxwell NT644 can’t cover DPF, SAS, Bi-directional control tests

(Tip: Foxwell NT510 support SAS and Bi-directional control tests)
And the support is tops. I had a commodore in, was surging at light throttle on the freeway, there were no fault codes set. I asked a few mechanic mates, they all said no idea. I called the guys at Foxwell, they asked me to describe the fault and said straight away to check the EGR system, he told me to disconnect it to see if the problem goes away when you drive it. it did.

The tool is awesome, but it’s also great to be able to call those guys and just get a second opinion.

Foxwell NT510 scanner review on BMW E60 M5, VW golf 05 and GM 05 malibu

I bought Foxwell NT510 multi-system scan tool at China foxwellshop based on a small handful of good reviews (but few negatives ones). Thus far I am satisfied. Registered a user name and download the GM software, after that I pay additonal BMW and VAG software. I would like to share here my personal experience on this NT510 scanner.

 

NT510 scanner review on BMW E60 M5:

I got the BMW program & was amazed at how much it does! The Foxwell NT510 interface is very easy and straight forward.I was having some unexplained problems with my E60 M5(Like everyone else) And Foxwell NT510 was able to read the BMW specific modules very easily and help me diagnose the problems. You will ultimately save money owning this. It is small, and you will feel like a pro being able to read, and reset the BMW specific codes. This is far beyond a regular OBDII scanner.

You can also preform BMW maintenance functions such as registering a new battery, read and clear adaptations, activate and test all of the modules individually, engage the transmission, among many others.

This is the best scan tool for BMW DIYers i have come across so i'm sure it's great for the other makes' programs too. Highly recommend!

 

NT510 scanner review on 2005 vw golf:

NT510 tool is freakin' awesome on the VW/Audi cars! It is able to adjust the electronic throttle on a 2005 vw golf. It did the job with ease.The number of things it can check and adjust is pretty amazing. It's easy to use, and you really don't need an instruction manual. I frankly expected less, but was pleasantly surprised by a very comprehensive menu.

NT510 scanner review on For GM 05 malibu:

I'm using Foxwell NT510 for GM. The website would not recognize the serial number when I tried to register the tool, but that was solved in a timely manner by an email to foxwelltech.com . I was able to download the GM software (not pre-installed, but free once the tool is registered).

All functions seem to work well. I tried NT510 on GM 05 malibu, it will autoconnect / read the VIN on my 05 malibu.

It will not auto-read my 03 gmc, but I know it is a "K" series so that is easy to enter manually 08 Acadia will not auto, and it is a "lambda" and that isn't one of the choices. I haven't contacted anyone, but reviews say that the mfgr is responsive.

I can see all the ABS and SRS data. I haven't tried anything like the Throttle body cal or abs auto-bleed, but the options exist.

I did try to calibrate tire size on the 03 gmc, and it didn't work. Again I have not had the time to work through tech support yet.

Overall happy with the purchase

In conclusion:

Foxwell NT510 is great! There is no VIN lock so it can be used on as many vehicles as you want for the make you buy plus works as universal OBD for generic like check engine.

I induced the warning light back several days ago when I decided to replace a couple of stepper (never again!) motors so I knew that I wasn't looking for a hard fault.

I can confirm that this Foxwell NT630 unit did it and it was pretty straight forward to use. No other faults picked up on the car so I can't comment any further on its performance. Foxwell NT630 is supposed to support most vehicles up to 2013 and compatible with both OBDI and OBDII cars, SUVs, minivans, light-duty trucks sold worldwide. So hopefully I'm future proofed for a few years. I will have chance to use it on other vehicle models. Foxwell NT630 is claimed to be compatible with most vehicles from America, Asia and Europe, if you are a professional technician, it can’t be more suitable.

Option 3: Autel MD802 scanner

Feedback: I bought Autel md802 DS elite - very good device. I had a problem with SRS ligh on 2007 w204 220CDI and manage to clear code with no problem. Not everyone can afford to buy a device. Device can erase a mistake only if original problem was sorted. haven’t tested MD802 on 2002 Mercedes Benz CLK320, will test and share the report here.

I haven’t opened the authorization but deleted the files in the Launch X431V+ pad by accident. Then the icon of X431V+ disappeared. How to solve this?

And this is what I tested with the gift NT1001:

Easy to use for resetting the TPMS sensors on our 2013 Cruze. Told me all the info I would want about the wheel sensors, too. The remote control detector was a little iffy though. I tried it with a known good remote and it took a while and several tries to get it to register. The directions on how to use this part were sketchy so maybe I was using it wrong.

How to solve Xprog-m v5.5.5 “verify error”

Here are important tips for all xprog users when they got this problem "verify error" during reading motorola mcu, and after try several time is read maybe.

Usually two xprog with same problem v5.45 / v5.55


The MAIN reason & solution:

Xprog version 5.5.5 is not so stable, find download 5.5.1 and downgrade it, its the most stable for clones available


Possible reasons and solutions:

- Internet issue

Reinstall on fresh PC, and don’t connect that to internet!!! Internet off.. then rewrite firmware v555


- power supply problem

Check power supply to xprog


- virus problem

Only fresh OS and fresh software, directly from disk or from safe link...doesn't mater if internet is on or off...etc

Xprog 5.5.1 update steps:

I had same problems today with 5.5.5, after few weeks i've got verify errors on motorola and 5p08c eeprom . What i did was deleted xprog folder (it was without instalation without dongle), go into registry editor (win xp) search for "xprog" deleted all registry keys with that tag and again copied clean folder (instalation) of xprog software and it worked. Also i disconected internet connection before everything.

had same story with 5.5.5 downgraded to 5.5.1 and used no dongle software with new usb cable and now all running smooth it was ver 5.5.3 with dongle when i got it so i want up up and back down 5.5.1 is stable and no problems

I could set GT80 Plus language from English to French (French is my local language), at first I thought the function is different from one to another because the different language, actually I was wrong. I even asked the samesperson if I can set the language from one to another for several times and I was told it is possible but not suggested to do because every time I change the language I need to update before use it which will bring some trouble.

Today I used BMWAI with ICOM A2 mux to successfully code the mirrors to fold in from key fob locking, and added 2 extra blinks on the turn signals (when pressed momentarily...like when changing lanes).

I also changed settings for sensitivity of auto headlights, I think. I thought it was too sensitive, headlights are on all morning...but I've seen other F30s at that time that don't have headlights on (just halo DRLs). I'll know tomorrow morning if it worked.

Q: I was looking at you NT1001 tpms tool and was wondering if there any thing that this tool will not do compared to the more expensive tools .

A: NT1001 is a tpms trigger tool, it has special function of TPM sensor decoder or activator. So, it doesn't have multi-functions compared to other diagnostic tools. However it will cover more car brand. In a word, NT1001 has a wide range of coverage with single function.


Q: Can Foxwell NT1001 work on win10?

A: when you use it to decode or active the TPMS, it needs no connect to the computer, unless you want to update it.


Q: Can Foxwell NT1001 re-program tpms sensor on 2013 Honda?

A: No, it can’t. It is a professional activator.


Q: No luck to read the TPM sensor information on 2007 Subaru Outback and 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. And when I tried to update, by following the user manual I pressed the “Help” button for 5 seconds but failed to enter “Update” mode.


A:When you use NT1001, firstly please make sure the distance bettween the vehicle and machine not exceed 5cm,then use the built-in magnet to move around the sensor to adjust the frequency, when the device can read your sensor,it means you have adjusted frequency successfully.When you update, firstly turn off the machine, then hold down the "Help" key, then connect to the computer.


Q: 2008 Nissan Maxima need to do this tpms program and program the ecu for a new tire sensor. Can Foxwell NT1001 perform this function?

A: No, it can’t. Recommend you GT80 or GT80 plus (FYI, buy one GT80 plus at foxwellshop.com you can get one NT1001 for free)

Foxwell NT510 Code Injector Issues and Solutions

Here 3 pieces of Foxwell NT510 code injector Issues and Solutions, hope it helps those who have the same issues and looking for the solution.


Q: Foxwell NT510 can code injectors?

A: Yes, just did mine yesterday with it, very easy and intuitive to use as it guides you through the process. It has access to the TCU and TCU parameters yes.


Q: Had a problem coding injectors with NT510 scanner, I'm inputting the two 3 digit codes and either the DME or the tool won't save the changes.

A: You have to re-enter all 6 digits together no spaces. You cant just do 3 digits. Also the DME separates the 6 digits code for the injector into two 3 digit pairs automatically.

Finally, I think I got it to work. NT510 scanner states the codes are "not ok" and intermittently displays the "correct" numbers after going back to the beginning of the process of coding them multiple times. Might be a little buggy… Interestingly, there is a note in the prompts that says the last digit may be altered/adjusted by the DME. Sure enough. The car seems to run a lot better with the index 12 (7 & 8 came out).


Then I got correct guide: the DME defaults to a low range of the injectors specs by -/+ 1 of the last digit of the set. That is normal. If you want the full range of the injector spec ie closest to the actual numbers displayed on the injector, then you need to offset entry.
Example, if you enter 477 and the DME changes it to 476, then enter 478 to target 477. If the DME adjusts to 479 then you will have to go back and enter 477 and 476 will be the highest you can go staying within the injector specs and not exceeding it.


Q: When I tried to save the values, the tool said they were not valid. Any idea what I did wrong?

A: update the software for the tool, then select your device first by VIN, it will load a pre profile. Then go back and select your chassis and model manually. Go to service and try entering the values again. You can also try saving each cylinder entry one at a time. Finally solved.

This post starts with Foxwell NT510 BMW scanner Update that confirmed working ok, then with the the LVS reset trouble, finally figured it out.

 

Preface: Foxwell NT510 BMW scanner Update includes (05-10-2016) 
Injector Coding confirmed
Vehicle Service confirmed
Coil reset adaptation confirmed
Battery registration confirmed
E-Brake retraction confirmed

There is much more other stuff added, but this was the most important. I was very surprised their was a ignition coil re-calibration (LVS) function when when changing coils. Interesting. Immediately I applies this when I saw it as I am running the new BMW OEM Eldor coils.

Injectors can also be recoded or recalibrated.
Goodbye to the INPA and the Bavarian Technic Tool (BT Tool) and hello to this. Tired of using a laptop, this tool can stay on your car with the bag it comes with.

To see this functions though you will have to select our chassis manually after the Auto VIN search. It then actually pulls the data from the DME instead of pre-loaded data for the model car. It just helps speed things up mainly to read and erase codes. The manually entry gives you everything.

(Issue) Having trouble trying to do the LVS reset:

Changed coils plugs and injectors.. All 6, got the injectors coded, but still having issues trying to reset the Coils..

Guide:

At what part of the reset are you have an issue with, before or after pulling the key out of the ignition to complete the reset?

At the end When you are instructed to pull the key you must do that first before selecting Ok.
